Getting to Lachian Gate

The Lachian Gate of Beskydy is situated in the north-east part of the Czech Republic, in the Moravian-Silesian Region (approximately 32 km south-west from Ostrava), in the eastern part of the Nový Jičín District and in the western part of the Frýdek-Místek District (Hukvaldy). The Polish border lies around 40 km north and north-east to the Lachian Gate and the border with Slovakia around 35 km to the east-south-east. The Lachian Gate forms a crossing between the undulating lowlands of the Moravian Gate and the line of Beskydy Mountains.
